There is not one skerrick of remorse in Israel’s report into the murder of peace activists on the Mavi Marmara. The report aimed to go further than making murder respectable. Indeed, the murderers in the Israeli military were praised for their courage.

The following is a statement from Victorian Students for Palestine, issued after the announcement that Israel will partially lift its siege of Gaza. 

Following Israel’s savage attack on the flotilla of boats trying to reach Gaza on May 31, momentum is beginning to build to bring together a massive convoy of ships to break the blockade.

In the wake of its murder of peace activists, Israel won’t need to prepare for war. It will get away with murder because it is backed to the hilt by the United States.
